The Bento Five has been designed specifically for children who prefer variety or who are fussy eaters. It allows you to make endless combinations of nutritious food that will look appetising by using different textures and colour combinations. 

Pack balanced meals with ease when using the Bento Five which has one compartment for each of the five food groups. Foods such as fruit, veggies, crackers and yogurt can all be packed side by side without the risk of spoiling.

BENTO FIVE & THREE LUNCH BOX FAQ

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BENTO THREE & FIVE?

Great question! Though the Bento Three and Five boxes look the same on the outside and are the same size, they have different configurations inside! 

The Bento Three has 3 compartments and is good for larger items like a full sandwich or wrap.

The Bento Five has 5 compartments, so it’s great for packing more variety or for ‘grazers’ who prefer small amounts of different foods. 

HOW DO I USE MY LUNCH BOX?

Our Bento Three & Five lunch boxes are designed to pack a range of fruits, veggies, snacks, sandwiches and more. These bento boxes have no removable parts which makes them super easy to wash and means no parts go missing!

You can also add our Bento Dividers or Bento Cups to pack more variety in the lunch box. 

‘Wet’ foods such as dips and yoghurt can be safely packed next to dry foods in our Bento lunch boxes by following our  Bento Lunch Box Packing Instructions

Bento Three and Bento Five Lunch Boxes can be hand wash or washed on the top rack of the dishwasher after each use and then left to air dry. Refer to our Bento Lunch Box Care Instructions for more details.

HOW MUCH FOOD DOES THE LUNCH BOX HOLD?

The Bento Three and Five lunch boxes both hold 980mL which is just under 4 cups of food.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY LUNCH BOX?

Little Lunch Box Co products are all made of durable hard wearing BPA-free, food safe materials. We recommend hand washing in hot soapy water and drying in an open, upright (like a tent) position overnight.

HOW DO I STORE MY LUNCH BOX?

We recommend that you always store your lunch box with the lid open when not in use to allow the seal to fully dry. Storing your lunch box with the lid closed can result in mould growth. 

CAN I PRE-PACK THE LUNCH BOX THE NIGHT BEFORE?

Yes! Because each compartment is airtight, our Bento lunch boxes can be packed the night before and kept in the fridge ready to go in the morning.

IS THE LUNCH BOX LEAKPROOF? 

The Bento Three and Five lunch boxes are leakproof for wet foods only, like dips and yoghurts, thicker sauces etc. They are NOT leak proof for liquids. For that reason, foods such as watermelon and citrus fruits may need a paper towel folded up at the bottom to soak up any additional liquids to prevent liquids from crossing over to other compartments of the lunch box. DO YOU HAVE ANY REPLACEMENT PARTS OR ADDITIONAL PARTS?

Yes - there are removable dividers to allow for more variety in the lunch box, and replacement latches. You can find all of our replacement parts here

Some of our older Bento Three and Five Lunch Boxes have a different style of latch which is attached to the lid. Please get in touch with us at info@littlelunchboxco.com.au if you need this style of latch or if you are unsure which style you have.

HOW DO I PUT MY CHILD'S NAME ON MY LUNCH BOX?

We recommend using Vinyl stickers to label your child’s lunch box - there are a wide variety of options available online. 

DO THE LUNCH BOXES COME WITH A WARRANTY?

Of course! We have a full 12 month manufacturers warranty on our products. Wear and tear is a normal part of any product and common with products made for, and used by, children. Wear and tear or damage caused by drops are not a fault created during the manufacturing process and will not be claimable under our manufacturers warranty. 

We recommend that you always store your lunch box with the lid open when not in use to allow the seal to fully dry. Storing your lunch box with the lid closed can result in mould growth. This will not be covered under your manufacturer's warranty.

Orders $99+ : FREE Standard Shipping, or EXPRESS Shipping for $6

Orders less than $99 : Standard Shipping for $10 or Express Shipping for $16

We post Australia Wide via Courier or Australia Post depending on order size and delivery location. If you have a preference please leave us a note at checkout.

Express Dispatch & Shipping Upgrade

We offer an Express Dispatch Guarantee, to give you the BEST possible chance of getting your parcel on time.

When you upgrade to our Express Shipping & Dispatch service, your order will be sent express with Australia Post and jump to the front of the queue to be packed first at our warehouse. When your order is placed before 1pm (AEST) our team will guarantee your order is dispatched that same day.

The Express Dispatch & Shipping Upgrade costs $16, or just $6 on orders over $99 within Australia. 

International Shipping
We aren't shipping internationally at this time, but hope to resume international shipments in late 2022.

We post daily Monday to Friday and dispatch orders next business day, except for new releases and sales where it might take us a little bit longer. 

  

HOW DO YOU SHIP WITHIN AUSTRALIA?

Orders are shipped to anywhere within Australia for a flat rate of $10 (or FREE over $99). We post daily Monday to Friday and endeavour to dispatch orders next business day.

We post Australia Wide via Courier or Australia Post. Shipping service is dependent on order size and delivery location. Orders sent via courier will require a residential address. A tracking number will be provided as soon as your order is dispatched.

Please allow 10 working days for delivery as Australia Post has recently changed their domestic delivery timeframes. If you have any concerns over the status of your parcel, please contact us. Every satchel parcel sent by us is trackable from lodgement to delivery. In the rare circumstance that a parcel is missing, we will launch an investigation with the delivery service to locate it. Investigation times vary by service and the resolution will depend on the report findings.


DO YOU SHIP TO MY COUNTRY?

We are only shipping to Australia at this time. Please check our stockists page for a local stockist in your country.


CAN I PICK UP MY ORDER?

No, we don’t allow local pickup of retail orders at this time. 


WHAT IS YOUR RETURNS POLICY?

In the unlikely event your item is defective or damaged on arrival, please contact us within 48 hours and we will do our best to rectify the situation. All items are checked and cross checked before packing.

If you change your mind on an unwashed and unused item you are welcome to post back for an exchange. Once we confirm the item is still in brand new condition, a credit for the item’s value less our restocking fee will be added to your account on our website for you to purchase an exchange. Postage costs associated with returning and receiving the new item, and the item price difference, are wholly the customers. We do not refund for a change of mind.

Faulty or incorrect goods are welcomed to be returned for a replacement. Please contact us for details on how to exchange. We have our own returns portal where we can cover the return postage in this instance.

CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?

If you wish to cancel your order (before it has been fulfilled & shipped or an order awaiting a pre-order item) a restocking fee will be charged and that will be deducted from the transaction total refunded to you. (The restocking fee covers the administration costs incurred due to the change of mind). 

While we endeavour to respond to you within 1 business day, sometimes our warehouse has already fulfilled your order as they begin packing orders at 6am daily. We are unable to cancel those orders that have been fulfilled and dispatched.

Alternatively, if your order has not yet been dispatched, we can cancel your order and issue a gift card for the full order amount and this is valid for 3 years.


WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN I ORDER A PRODUCT THAT IS ON PRE-ORDER?

A ‘pre-order’ is an item of high demand that is on backorder and is in transit to us from our manufacturer. Pre-order items have an ‘estimated release date’ which is the date given to us by the shipper for when it will arrive to us. The ‘estimated release date’ is advertised on the listing. Stock can arrive earlier, or later, than the ‘estimated’ date that is given. Customs and transit delays are unforeseen and unpredictable but sometimes do occur which can delay items arriving.

Orders containing a pre-order item will be held until the pre-order item is in stock, the entire order will then be sent in the next day’s dispatch. If you would like your other items sent earlier please purchase in two separate transactions.

Clip to close broken early on

Pretty early on the clip to close the lunchbox broke on this one - the other 6 I have are all
fine. Did send details of this for resolution but did not receive a response about fixing it. Other lunchboxes are great. Just a bit annoying that for cost it broke so quickly.

We purchased the lunchbox and had it around 6 weeks. My son dropped it on the kitchen floor when grabbing it off the bench and it broke.
A lunchbox for kids should be hardy and durable and be able to take the falls and bumps especially with little boys. Wasn’t happy that it broke after only a short amount of time.
Waste of time and money.
