Pea and Herb Slice

If you're looking for a way to get more veggies into your child, look no further! This pea and herb slice is packed full of goodness, easy to make and filling.

Not only is it high in protein, but this pea and herb slice is also gluten free and dairy free. Bake it in a bread tin to get the perfect sizes to fit in our bentos! Perfect for lunch boxes or snacking, we hope you love this healthy slice recipe!

Ingredients:

1 Cup Buckwheat flour
1 cup frozen peas
1 tsp crushed garlic
1 tbs olive oil
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 egg
Parsley and oregano to taste
1/2 cup plant based / dairy free milk
Optional, to taste: Cheese, salt and pepper, chilli or curry powder.

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 180°C
2. Mix all ingredients except milk together. Once combined, stir in milk.
3. Transfer to a lined bread tin (perfect size for bentos!).
4. Bake for 25 mins. Once cool, slice and enjoy!
