Mini Chicken Balls

As the weather cools down, packing a warm lunch is like a warm hug in the playground at lunchtime! These yummy chicken balls would be delicious warm packed into a thermos or cold in our Bento Five - adding some variety!



250 g (half a small packet) chicken
40 g (1⁄2 cup) breadcrumbs
50 g (1⁄2 cup) kale, roughly chopped
50 g (1⁄2 cup) grated cheese
handful fresh parsley
1 egg
1⁄2 tsp paprika
1⁄2 tsp salt
1⁄2 tsp garlic powder



  • Preheat oven to 200 C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Place all ingredients into a high-speed food processor and blitz until well combined.
  • Roll a tablespoonful of the mixture into a ball and place on prepared baking tray.
  • Repeat with remaining mixture and cook in oven for 20-25 minutes or
  • until golden.
