What are your go-to after school activities to keep the little ones entertained?
We are always really busy after school between football training, netball training and dancing. If we are home, the kids love playing in the backyard or help me with baking for school lunches and cooking dinner.
What's your favourite creative activity that the whole family can get stuck into?
We love playing games together. Their favourites would be Uno, Skip Bo and Guess Who. Lucy and Tommy who are a bit younger love Pop Up Pirate and playing with playdough. The kids also love it when I want to test out something I might want to do with my students with them.
Any fave after school snacks your little ones love to tuck into?
The kids can't go past a platter! They love being able to pick at a selection of things, so I do this on a big plate if we are are going to be at home or in their individual Bento boxes if we have after school activities. I like to include fruit and raw veggies, dip and crackers.
Where do you get inspired if you're ever stuck for 'things to do' ideas?
I like to try things that spark my interest when scrolling instagram or facebook but if I'm looking for something specific, I will search on Pinterest.
What would your little ones say is their favourite after school activity?
Emily would say drawing and reading, Jayden would say playing footy in the backyard, Maddi and Lucy would say playing with the dogs or jumping on the trampoline together and Tommy will just follow the kids everywhere because he misses them when they are not here.
Do you have a 'go to' dinner that couples creative fun with wholesome eating?
The kids love being involved in cooking dinner! Their faves to help with are Empanadas, because they like rolling out the dough and Sushi and Rice Paper Rolls because they can choose their own fillings.
