A much loved family chicken recipe, this baked sweet and sour chicken recipe is easy to throw together and packed full of flavour.
Serve with a side of your choice - rice, broccoli, corn, mixed veggies, or cauliflower rice. We love to serve ours with a delicious herbed rice and veggies.

4 chicken breasts, sliced into strips
½ cup sugar
½ cup tomato sauce
4 tbsp soy sauce
½ cup apple cider vinegar
3 tbsp minced garlic
1 onion - finely diced
2 tbsp cornstarch
- Pre heat the oven to 200 and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Add the garlic and onion to a frying pan and brown off, before adding the remaining ingredients and reducing the liquid. Then add the cornstarch and thicken the sauce.
- Place the chicken strips on the lined baking tray and pour the sauce over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and golden.
- Serve with rice and veggies of your choice.
